Our Mission

The Fox Valley Micro Loan Fund is dedicated to promoting small business development by providing business loans of up to $25,000 to small business enterprises, within minority and under served populations, who do not meet traditional lending requirements. Our Community Development Mission is aimed at enabling men and women to gain economic independence, personal confidence and business skills.  When we are successful, jobs are created, communities are strengthened, and long-lasting economic improvements are achieved.

We partner with area organizations, such as the Service Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE), the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) and the Small Business Administration (SBA) to make sure that entrepeneurs have the skills they need to grow their businesses.

Founded in 1999, The Fox Valley Micro Loan Fund is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization.

Business Consulting

4 We work closely with local Small Business Development Centers and local chapters of SCORE.  These two organizations can provide you with free, outstanding counseling on the startup, expansion and growth of your business.  They can also help you with writing your business plan and preparing your loan application for submission to Fox Valley Micro Loan Fund.
